If you enjoy messing around on rivers then you would love a holiday canoeing along river Wye. It is easy to arrange canoe hire from one of the companies along the river. They will meet you upriver and collect you a few days latter further down. You can camp for a night or two or B&B, and then and stay at Ye Old Ferrie Inn Bunkhouse when you come to Symonds Yat. The old Inn faces the river, with a wide broad patio stepping down to the river and excellent for portage at Symonds Yat. The Inn has a welcoming atmosphere and serves good food and ale. The upstairs bunkrooms overlook the river. There is a room for 6 and a larger bunkroom for 14. There is also B&B in double rooms.
