Four miles from Torran Bay Hostel is Kilmartin, the start of Kilmartin Glen. Kilmartin Glen is a broad valley containing nearly 800 rock carvings, burial cairns and standing stones. There are also more recent stoneworks including the fortress of the Scots and a castle.
