Exceptional accommodation in the heart of Glasgow.
Here’s a great idea, use the high quality student accommodation as holiday lets! During the summer months of June to September, Blythswood House runs as a summer hostel available for accommodation to individuals, families and groups.
So now you ask: Why just in summer? Because the rest of the time it is swish, high end housing for the lucky students of Glasgow School of Art.
Are we familiar with Glasgow? By which I mean the modern Glasgow of media, art, music and hipsterish cafe’s selling bread and butter ice cream. Glasgow School of Art, in its famous and delightful Charles Rennie Mackintosh building, represents that side of Glasgow well. It has spawned a myriad of talent in TV, music, art, literature and drama.
And the Blythswood House accommodation represents it too. We’re not talking about dingy student digs here: This is 5 star stuff! Bright, light and airy with views over the city. The cultural life of Glasgow is just a small step from the door.
Offer spacious and fully furnished accommodation, the majority of our bedrooms are single occupancy, queen sized beds and en-suite with some smaller flats which would be suitable for use by a family. There are a number of self-catering flats in units of 2, 6, 7 or 8 single rooms (some doubles are also available). All rooms are en-suite but are gathered around a communal kitchen and lounge areas. Notably, guests get free use of the House cinema!
It is an amazing location: Right in the heart of the busy, buzz-y boho of student life. From you high vantage point above the city, beyond the buildings you can see hills, mountains even! A reminder that Glasgow is gloriously positioned between the sea and the hills. I can vouch personally that Loch Lomond and The Trossachs is a very easy train journey from the city centre, allowing access to some of the most gorgeous walking in Britain.
Best of both worlds then!
