Isaac Tea Trailers will love Allendale Bunkhouse. In the centre of the bustling town of Hexham, it’s right on the trail and has shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants close by for all your needs. Please note, this bunkhouse is only available to groups.
Isaac’s Tea Trail is a delightful 58km (36 mile) circular walk in the North, North Pennines AONB. Along the route you will discover glorious, sweeping dales and wild heather moorland and you will tread in the same footsteps as Isaac Holden. A lead miner, turned travelling tea seller and philanthropist. He travelled this area selling tea and raisng funds for good causes such as local village schools and end of life care. Hence the name of the route; Isaac’s Tea Trail!
Situated in Allendale, Isaac’s tea trail begins on Allendale Bunkbarn’s front door. Don’t be fooled by the word bunkbarn either, Allendale Bunkbarn is far from basic! It is completely refurbished and thoroughly modernised! A home away from home with all the luxuries you could require such as a fully equipped kitchen, dining area with seating up for 25, comfortable sofas, a BBQ area, a large landscaped garden, a games room, a cinema room, a TV, table tennnis, board games AND a reading corner.
