If you’re on the look out for somewhere to stay while exploring North Wales, Bala Bunk House in Gwynedd is certainly tempting. Their website is full of pictures of watersports – which is fair enough as they have links to a number of water activity providers as well as the national white water centre so close by – but all that adrenalin and high octane excitement is so at odds with the lovely, calm peaceful vibe of the accommodation.

Just look at the picture, you can see that it is set in picturesque grounds with the Welsh countryside encouraging you out to walk, climb, cycle and explore.
