Ayeshire calf at Slack House Farm on Hadrian’s Wall

New calf at Slack House Farm on Hadrians Wall

Slack House farm not only provides a welcome to walkers on the wall, they also make organic cheese and keep Ayeshire Cattle

After exploring  one of the best preserved sections of  Hadrian’s Wall, you’ll love the warm welcome at Slack House Farm.   It is close to Birdoswald Roman Fort on the Hadrian’s Wall trail and also on the NCN 72 cycle route, so it’s a great base for an overnight stop or a longer exploration of the areas history. The countryside is wild, breathtaking and open, but the welcome at Slack House is warm, easy paced and homely.  Set on a working, cheese-making organic farm and surrounded by the loveliest views.  If you have never tried Raw Milk, don’t turn down the offer, it will be the best milk you have ever tasted.
