Are you looking for a low cost getaway?

Low cost holidays in the Lake District. Get out and enjoy the countryside!

Are you looking for a low cost holiday, Well the Lake District is a perfect location to explore. Hostels are well known for being the more affordable option to bed and breakfasts and hotels. You can keep the cost down by preparing your own food and also using public transport and your legs!

Stagecoach have comprised lots of interesting walks from their bus routes. One of my personal favorites is the “Ride and stride with the Lakeland Pathfinder bus”.

This is various walks from the 555 bus route. The 555 bus commences in Lancaster, goes through Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere and finally up to its last destination, Keswick. The walks start from 1 hour up to 3 hours and are all accessible for families so why not keep the cost down (and kids entertained) and hop on the bus. These guides are very detailed and obtainable from tourist information centers but also from the GoLakes website.

Unlimited day passes from £10.80 for buses in and around the Lake District but also up as far as Newcastle! 3 day, 7 day, family, group and concession passes also available.
