Footpaths link the C2C route to Elterwater Hostel. Leave the route at Grasmere and walk for another hour (approx).
Elterwater is also an established walkers’ stopover on the Cumbria Way so you will be in good company. There are pubs, shops and other amenities available nearby. The hostel can provide breakfast and evening meal (with notice), it has a laundry and drying room and all linen is provided.
