Bowderstone Bunkhouse is around 1km north of the C2C route. Leave the route at Rosthwaite and walk along the road for a bit, then take a footpath that leads you to this enchanting bothy.
The Bunkhouse is just by the famous Bowderstone – a massive boulder sitting precariously on one corner! A group of 5 or more walkers can rent the whole place out for the night for a very reasonable fee. It provides basic accommodation, so you will need to BYO bedding and sleeping mats. Be sure to BYO provisions too as it’s a good walk to find a shop or a pub.
