All this and grass sledging too

I am like a big kid all full of excitement about this!

Berrow House Bunkhouse is  between Rugged Stone Hill and Midsummer Hill. Straightaway that sound like something from Lord of The Rings but actually its in the in the Malvern Hills AONB. In fact this area is supposed to have inspired JRR Tolkien’s Middle Earth.

The bunkhouse is simple and rustic with its whitewashed walls and can accommodate groups or individuals who are exploring the area or walking the Worcestershire Way path. But what got me so excited?

Its the grass sledging! The website says “Grass sledging is a regular activity at Berrow House and is offered to individual guests or groups of visitors.”  It is the summer equivalent of tobogganing. Using sledges with caterpillar tracks or rows of wheels, you whiz down the hillside and steer by leaning – just like winter sledging. They also say that “grass sledging is for all ages”. Great! book me a room now!

Are we nearly there yet?
