It is all going on at Acker’s adventure.
The site has access to kayaking, dry slope skiing, climbing, zip wires…all sorts of things. Pretty much everything you would want to try if you’re an outdoor adventurous type. Just browsing through their events listings I can see courses on bushcraft, climbing and kayak tours of Birmingham. Even one-day tasters, events they call thrillseekers, for youngsters to try out a zillion different activities. As I said – it is all going on at Acker’s.
I’ll bet that ‘kayak tours of Birmingham’ line caught your eye didn’t it? That’s because Acker’s is an adventure base pretty close to the heart of the city. They take advantage of the nearby river and canal to launch the boats and paddle off exploring.
As a residential base, it has everything you’d need: it sleeps 26 in small 2 to 4 bed rooms; disabled access; self catering kitchen and large communal areas for classrooms or dining or hanging out. And, as you can tell, they’re all set up for leading activities for your group too.
