I re-trained as a Radiographer over the winter months after 16 years away! I got my registration back just last week and I am now working at my local hospital.
I left Diagnostic Radiography in 2004. I was combining working as a Radiographer in the winter with running the Ocean Backpackers Hostel for the summer season-but then our son and daughter came along and it all got a bit much!
Last year, with the kids now teenagers-I decided I was up for the challenge of re-training and it was time to go back into the caring profession!
Can’t believe the timing, but I am now part of the amazing Radiology team at our local hospital, helping with the fight against the Coronavirus……..16 years after I last took an x-ray!!!
