Shining Cliff hostel is available for sole use hire on the weekend of the 5th & 6th April and for sole use or individual room bookings on the 7th-10th April. It’s a fabulous setting for enjoying Easter with friends and family, with hundreds of acres of woodland to explore in this unique, off-road, hostel. The hostel is located in the heart of Shining Cliff woods in Derbyshire, with no road access the adventure starts with wheelbarrowing your belongings half a mile along a woodland footpath!
Shining Cliff hostel opened it’s doors in 1947 and has accommodated many thousands of people over the years; come and visit this fabulous woodland hostel, there is no other like it in the country!
There are the stunning woods to explore, with a myriad of paths to follow, streams to explore, a lake to sit and enjoy and the crags that give the woodland its name. If you want to go further afield, we are in the Derwent Valley World Heritage site, so have many wonderful places to explore, such as Cromford Mills and Matlock Bath.
The hostel can accommodate up to 20 people in 5 bedrooms all with bunk beds. There are 3 bathrooms with showers, an open plan lounge, dining area and self-catering kitchen.
Come and stay at Shining Cliff hostel and soak up the blissful peace and quiet of this magical woodland setting, sit outside the hostel in the morning to watch the sunrise and listen to the beautiful birdsong with your cuppa.
