A Scottish wildlife hotspot in the lively town of Thurso on the northern coast of Scotland

Scrabster

Sandras Hostel located in the northern most town of the UK mainland. A wonderful spot to be sure, full of wildlife spotting opportunities and teeming with interesting history.

The cliffs around the coast are spectacular, buzzing with coastal wildlife, you can see Puffins, Kittiwakes, seals and porpoises. A welcome change from the usual pigeon and such. Wolfburn distillery is a local attraction that can be traced back to the 1800s, having been reopened in recent years. Of course being so close to the sea means the potential for great seafood. Thurso river being a spot for Salmon fishing. Sandras Hostel is perfectly placed to enjoy all this, while still being affordable.
