A B&B for mini beasts galore!

The wonderful “Staying Alive” came to visit recently, as they do every year, and one of their group projects this year was to create not one but two wildlife stacks. It is a great way to give a home to bugs and other wildlife and made completely from recycled material.

These safe havens provide snug hideaways in which insects can hibernate; full of dark nooks and crannies and different structures, they can shelter anything from hedgehogs, frogs and toads, solitary bees and wasps, ladybirds and woodlice.

A three day project, the group worked long and hard making good tired borders which had seen better days and producing an area of interest which visitors can enjoy for many years to come. Thank you to all those involved!
