Wern Watkins Bunkhouse – adventure and tranquility

Close to so much outdoor action and yet nestled in a peaceful haven.

Wern Watkin bunkhouse in the Brecon Beacons sleeps 30 and is available to groups and individuals. Particularly suitable for outdoor pursuits, they can provide links to a range of activites with qualified instructors – especially exciting is the proximity to Llangattock cave complex (one of Europe’s most elaborate cave systems).

On a more tranquil and less adrenalised note though what about this intriguing snippet from their website, “Habitats at your door include ancient woodland, unusual wildflower meadows, rare marshland and a wildlife pond. We have a massive and thrilling colony of house martins swirling around the site and this is replaced at night be a major colony of bats which have their own floor in the bunkhouse. Bird lovers can see over 56 species.”

Doesn’t that fabulous?

And we haven’t even mentioned the modern and comfortable accomadation (mostly en-suite) which you can view via this 360 degree virtual tour.
