Surrounded by some of the most breathtaking peaks in Eryri National Park, Yr Hafod Hostel is the perfect base for exploring this spectacular part of North Wales. Nestled at the foot of Y Garn in the heart of the Ogwen Valley, Yr Hafod sits right in the middle of the mountains. From the doorstep, you can access both the Carneddau and Glyderau mountain ranges, with iconic routes like Tryfan and Pen yr Ole Wen just a 5–10 minute walk away.
The building sleeps up to 32 people across four bunk rooms and features a comfortable lounge and lecture area, a spacious dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen—perfect for relaxing after a full day in the mountains. The centre includes two washroom areas with toilets and showers, free WiFi, gas central heating, a drying room for wet clothes, and a secure covered foyer with hooks for waterproofs and racks for boots. A pay phone is also available for emergencies, and there is private parking for up to 10 vehicles. Please note that camping is not permitted on-site.
