Welsh group accommodation and activity centre in Snowdonia

Tyn Y Berth Mountain Centre, Corris Uchaf, Machynlleth, Powys, SY20 9RH

Ty’n y Berth is a former school at the foot of Cadair Idris on the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Surrounded by mountains, valleys and crystal clear rivers, yet only 12 miles from the coast, it’s a great location for outdoor activities and family holidays. The spacious accommodation sleeps up to 43 including a separate unit for 8 which can also be hired on its own. The main room is divided into dining and lounge areas. There is a commercial kitchen, recently renovated, with large oven, dishwasher, hob and microwave, plenty of toilets & showers, drying room, pay phone, lockable storage for boats & bikes and parking for 10 cars. Corris is within walking distance and has a pub: the Slaters Arms, which does bar meals. Courses are also available in climbing, mountain walking, abseiling, gorge scrambling, mine exploration, ropes courses, orienteering, and team building. Accommodation for a further 36 is available at the Bryn Coedwig Centre (also run by Wide Horizons), four miles from Ty’n Y Berth in Aberllefenni.

This accommodation is featured on our map of Snowdonia and North Wales and here is its own website.
