Treks Bunkhouse, 900 feet above sea level, is high in the mountains near the Welsh-speaking village of Blaenau Ffestiniog. It is ideal for people who enjoy the rugged beauty of Snowdonia and a short airy walk to the pub of an evening. A modern conversion of a golf club house, graded 4 star by VisitWales, Treks is set in a wild area on the outskirts of the village and provides year-round accommodation for groups. There is a self-catering kitchen and five bedrooms sleeping between 1 and 5 people, ideal for groups, families or groups of families. Beds are fully made up with sheet and duvets and towels are available to hire for a small charge. The is a large lock-up ideal for canoes and bikes. There are many tourist attractions available within a short drive: Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Bounce Below, Zip World Titan, Antur Stiniog, Ffestiniog Railway, Go Below Adventures, Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike Centre, Portmeirion Italian Village, Bala White Water Rafting and Harlech Castle.

As the route heads east away from Ffestiniog, you’ll find Treks bunkhouse. This sole use only bunkhouse is perfect for groups of up to 13. There is often a 2 night min stay, but as there is so much to do in the area, it may be just the excuse you need, to take a day from the route and explore.
