This small, simple bunkhouse that started life as a MOD radar station offers peace and tranquillity in a unique location. Situated in an elevated position on Stonebarrow Hill with magnificent views overlooking Lyme Bay and across to Golden Cap and Chesil Beach. It is a walker’s paradise, as part of the Golden Cap Estate it offers access to over 25 miles of footpaths including the South West Coastal Path on the door step. The beaches at Charmouth are just a half hour walk downhill from the bunkhouse, although the journey back may take a little longer! The bunkhouse is ideal for families, walking and special interest groups and activity groups The garden has picnic tables and barbecue. When the adjoining shop is open during the day the public have access to the garden.

In Charmouth turn onto Stonebarrow Lane, just to the east of the bridge crossing the river Char. Follow this lane until you come to the National Trust car park and shop which adjoins the bunkhouse
Axminster train station is 8 miles away and Charmouth station is 4 miles.
This accommodation allows dogs by arrangement, is by the sea, is available only to groups, has availability this New Year and this Christmas and is on the National Trust Bunkhouses map and the SW Coast Path.
