OverviewPalace Farm Hostel is a relaxing and flexible four star hostel on a family run farm. It is situated in the village of Doddington, which has a pub, in the North Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is great for walking, cycling and wildlife. The location is central for exploring Canterbury, Rochester, Chatham, Leeds Castle and the many other historic towns, villages and castles in Kent. The accommodation, in converted farm buildings, consists of ten fully heated en suite rooms sleeping up to 39 guests. The rooms surround an attractive courtyard garden with lawns, patio and barbecue area, ideal for families, groups, couples and singles. The en suite rooms cater for all age groups and those with disabilities. There are quality double beds, single beds and 3ft bunk beds. Duvets, linen and continental breakfast are included. There is also a small tent only camp-site. Green Tourism Business Scheme GOLD Award winner.

Public Transport:Trains: Sittingbourne (London Victoria to Dover or Ramsgate, or St Pancras to Ramsgate). Buses from Sittingbourne to Doddington two hourly (Mon-Sat), last buses from Sittingbourne Station 17.51 Mon to Fri & 17.30 on Sat. No buses on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

To keep the nature in the North Kent Downs beautiful, all activities on the farm and the hostel are done in the most sustainable way possible- they even won a Green Tourism Gold award for the hostel.
Sometimes, its all in the details and Palace Farm Hostel in North Kent seem to have that covered.
Yes, it is on an a working farm in the North Kent Downs AONB. So far, so bucolic. But look more closely. The garden and patio is beautifully kept. The interior is a very high standard – cleanliness is a recurring theme in their reviews. The en-suite rooms cater for disabilities. Bedding and breakfast are included.
No wonder one of their reviewers wrote:, “With Liz and Graham as your hosts, the nicest people you could wish to meet, you can’t go wrong. Truly five star accommodation.”
