It has supreme panoramic views of Castle Varich, Ben Hope and the queen of Scottish mountains - Ben Loyal. The hostel is relaxed and welcoming with irresistible home baking on offer. Beautifully furnished, like a boutique hotel, but with all the friendliness of a hostel. There are comfortable private bedrooms, roomy shared dormitories and relaxing communal areas. Relax in the lounge, the well equipped dining area or the spacious self-catering kitchen. There is a drying room and bike shed for your outdoor gear and an on-site well stocked mini shop. Full camping services are also available. The atmosphere of this remote area is quite special. To leave the hustle and bustle of life behind completely, you must escape to the very edge of Scotland. Great news is that the new campsite at the idyllic Kyle of Tongue Hostel and Holiday Park will be opening this year. This means even larger groups of friends and family can stay in this awe-inspiring setting on the shores of the Kyle of Tongue.
Even if you don’t book the whole hostel you can mix hostel rooms with camping to add a new dimension to your holiday. The older members of your group could opt for private rooms, or even the extra comfort of the premium private rooms with magnificent views, while the younger and more adventurous ones could live on the wild side and camp on the shores.

Sealoch-side camping and a large warm hostel
Kyle of Tongue Hostel & Holiday Park is open all year. Its great location is ideal to climb the munros and corbits in the north of Scotland or just to have a family gathering or celebration. You can book the whole hostel for exclusive use, or visit on your own and meet others on their travels. Come and enjoy our cosy lounge with it’s open peat fire.
Walking groups, surf clubs, mountain rescue, birthday parties and music groups all enjoy our accommodation. If you are hosting a celebration we can arrange a ceilidh band to play for you in the hostel.
In addition to our large warm hostel, Kyle of Tongue holiday park provides sealoch-side camping. Surrounded by stunning mountain and sea views and on the North Coast 500 route (wildly accented to be one of the worlds best road trips) this is a great base for a holiday.
