OverviewKyle of Tongue Hostel is a stone lodge, magnificently situated on the romantic shores of the Kyle of Tongue on the north coast of Scotland. It has supreme panoramic views of Castle Varich, Ben Hope and the queen of Scottish mountains - Ben Loyal. The hostel is relaxed and welcoming with irresistible home baking on offer. Beautifully furnished, like a boutique hotel, but with all the friendliness of a hostel. There are comfortable private bedrooms, roomy shared dormitories and relaxing communal areas. Relax in the lounge, the well equipped dining area or the spacious self-catering kitchen. There is a drying room and bike shed for your outdoor gear and an on-site well stocked mini shop. Full camping services are also available in our newly opened fully equipped Campsite & Caravan Park or why not stay in our Holiday Cottage or Static Caravan. The atmosphere of this remote area is quite special. To leave the hustle and bustle of life behind completely, you must escape to the very edge of Scotland.

Whether its a family gathering or a large walking group Kyle of Tongue Hostel can accommodate. The moving scenes of the Scottish shoreline contrasting with the rugged mountain Ben Hope serve a gorgeous backdrop for your Easter away.
A wonderful stone lodge, located far from pressures of the everyday. The atmosphere is second to none with truly astounding scenery right from the doorstep. Just stepping outside rewards a panoramic view of the Scottish countryside. Just to the South of the Hostel lies the Stoic ruins of Castle Bharraich, thought to be over 1000 years old. There’s no shortage of walks around Kyle of Tongue and even a pub within walking distance. However it’s the Hostel that really shines, sleeping up to 36 people inside and ample room for camping/caravaning its perfect for large get-togethers. Self catering facilities make cooking feasts a doddle and there’s plenty of room to enjoy it. Sound like your kind of Easter?

Great news is that the new campsite at the idyllic Kyle of Tongue Hostel and Holiday Park will be opening this year. This means even larger groups of friends and family can stay in this awe-inspiring setting on the shores of the Kyle of Tongue.
Even if you don’t book the whole hostel you can mix hostel rooms with camping to add a new dimension to your holiday. The older members of your group could opt for private rooms, or even the extra comfort of the premium private rooms with magnificent views, while the younger and more adventurous ones could live on the wild side and camp on the shores.
