OverviewThis comfortable, cosy, fully equipped bunkhouse is situated within a cobbled stone courtyard which enjoys stunning views of the Atlantic coast towards the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse. It provides the perfect haven from which to explore the west side of Lewis, with its sandy beaches, wildlife, historic sites and culture on the doorstep. A short walk through the croft, with its network of footpaths, takes you to the shore and river, where otters are regular visitors. This hostel has one dormitory with six beds (in 3 bunks), two shower/toilet rooms and a kitchen/dining room. Bedding is supplied, towels for hire. There is a bus service to Stornoway and a shop within 2 miles. Visit Scotland 4 star hostel. Stay a while, for memories of a lifetime.

Public Transport:The nearest ferry runs from Ullapool on the mainland to Stornoway which is 20 miles from Galson Farm Hostel. Local buses run from Mondays to Saturdays. Enquire at Stornoway Bus Station.

Dogs are welcome at Galson Farm Hostel with sole use of the bunkhouse (sleeps 4 or 6). We are dog friendly by arrangement so let us know your four legged friend is coming when you make your sole use booking.
Galson Farm Guest House is on the west coast of Lewis just nine miles from the end of the Hebridean Way. It is an ideal spot to treat yourself and your dog to some good long coastal walks, a good nights rest, great food, and hospitality. The farm has outstanding sea views with a amazing quality of light and air and wildlife in abundance. Set in a traditional Western Isles community, this cosy 4 star Hostel provides ideal accommodation for the adventurous, sleeping up to 6 with self catering facilities and 2 shower rooms. A 4 bed section of the bunkhouse is also available for sole use and dogs.

The Isle of Lewis is in many ways a world away from England. The Hebrides remain a source of wonder, the untouched landscape filled in abundance with wildlife. Bird watchers can spend hours spotting some rare and beautiful species. The Hostel is situated on the North coast. Secluded but with access to transport links for exploring the southern portion, the highlight being the delightful town of Stornoway.
