On a very quiet gated road away from the main A6 it is a perfect base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Eden Valley, all within an hour's drive. Great for mountain biking, walking, and cycling on quiet tracks and lanes, surrounded by wildlife and space to gaze, bird-watch, sketch, play, read or do nothing but dream. Dacre's Stable (named after a fell pony who lived at the farm) is a flexible, friendly space for families, individuals or groups, with a green ethos. It sleeps up to 8 on a sole use, self-catering basis. The ground floor - which is wheelchair accessible - sleeps 2 on sofa beds. It has an adjoining shower room with underfloor heating, a wood-burner and a well-equipped kitchen area. Upstairs, reached by outside steps, sleeps 6 with a wood-burner and drying rack. BYO towels, sleeping bags/ warm bedding and pillow cases and torches.
