Only 20 minutes’ drive from Kendal, Dacre’s Stable Camping Barn at Grisedale Farm is in the new Eastern extension to the Lake District National Park, On a very quiet gated road away from the main A6 it is a perfect base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Eden valley, all within an hour’s drive. Great for mountain biking, walking, and cycling on quiet tracks and lanes, surrounded by wildlife and space to gaze, bird-watch, sketch, play, read or do nothing but dream. Dacre’s Stable (named after a fell pony who lived at the farm) is a flexible, friendly space for families or groups, with a green ethos. It comfortably sleeps 8 on a sole use, self-catering basis. The ground floor sleeps 2 (double bed) with shower room, wood-burner and well equipped kitchen. Upstairs, reached by outside steps, sleeps 6+ with extra mattresses and pillows and a wood-burner and drying rack.
