The bunkhouse is situated in a splendid rugged moorland setting with picturesque views to Loch Pottie and the pretty St Ernan's Church by the Loch. There are spectacular seascapes to the Treshnish Isles and Iona nearby. Fionnphort village, with it's general store, cafe/restaurant & pub is just a mile away. As is the port for Iona, Staffa and Treshnish Isles.
The accommodation comprises 2 units: One sleeps 8 & the other sleeps 6. Both are en suite with single beds. Plus there's a ground floor disabled or leader's room for 1 person with an accessible shower. Facilities include a communal kitchen and there are two halls; the main village hall and a smaller room, which can be hired if required.
The Ross of Mull is renowned for its fabulous wildlife and bird life, unusual and varied geology, particularly the Isle of Staffa, powder white beaches, turbulent history and rough coastal walking with spectacular scenery. In summer the corncrake can be heard in Iris beds in fields nearby and rare hen harriers circle the surrounding moorland regularly.
There is ample parking and storage for bikes
