Clumber Park Bunkhouse, Clumber Park, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 3AZ
A converted gardeners cottage situated on the Clumber Park estate, once part of Sherwood Forest. The bunkhouse is perfect for families, walkers and groups of friends. There are four bedrooms, each with three single beds. Each pair of bedrooms inter-connect, so it involves passing through the first room to reach the second. There is a shower room with two showers, a cloakroom with a w.c. and sink. Mattress protectors are provided but guests will need to bring their own bedding. A large kitchen diner seats 12 people around a pine dining table. The small lounge area has comfortable seating for around 6-8 people. The 1538 hectare estate of undulating woodland, grassland, heathland, farmland and an ornamental lake, is one of the most valuable havens for wildlife in Nottinghamshire. Hire bikes on the estate to explore over 20 miles of cycle trails or tackle the orienteering course. There is even course fishing available (needs to be prebooked). The estate offers a fully licensed cafe, snack kiosk and gift shop. There is also a tea-room in the Walled Kitchen Garden.
