Perfect for groups, families and walkers this bunkhouse provides basic accommodation on the National Trust Ashridge Estate in the heart of the Chilterns AONB. The bunkhouse provides rustic accommodation comprising of two restored barns. The first building has two dorms with four sets of bunks in each whilst the second contains the kitchen as well as lounge, toilets, showers and a disabled toilet. Outside there is a lovely rustic log seating area and table. The buildings are surrounded by an open area of grassland where fallow deer can regularly be seen. The bunkhouse is heated with storage heaters and hot water is not available for the showers between 11am and 3pm. There is no mobile signal in the bunkhouse but you should find some with a short walk into the nearby woods. The pretty Hertfordshire village of Aldbury is a short walk away with pubs and local shops. Up to two dogs are allowed. There is parking for up to 6 cars on site.
