Perfect for groups, families and walkers this bunkhouse provides basic accommodation on the National Trust Ashridge Estate in the heart of the Chilterns AONB. The bunkhouse provides rustic accommodation comprising of two restored barns. The first building has two dorms with four sets of bunks in each whilst the second contains the recently refitted kitchen as well as lounge, toilets, showers and disabled facilities. Outside there is a lovely rustic log seating area with table and the building is surrounded by an open area of grassland. Wild Fallow Deer are regularly to be seen on the lawn. The bunkhouse is heated with storage heaters and the showers are not available between 11am and 3pm. There is no mobile signal in the bunkhouse but you should find some with a short walk into the nearby woods. The pretty Hertfordshire village of Aldbury is a short walk away with pubs and local shops. Up to two dogs are allowed. There is parking for up to 20 cars available.
