Small, newly refurbished, hostel in Tregaron in the Cambrian mountains
Renovated between 2020-2023 this old village bakery, built in the late 1950s, has the new first floor dedicated to the hostel. Utilising oversized attic trusses the accommodation is unique in the area & has the feel of a giant attic space. Finished to a very high standard it offers 2 bedrooms with 4 bunks, an en suite bathroom in each & an open plan kitchen, dining & living room.
Downstairs there is secure bike storage & a bike workshop if you need anything fixing or want to hire a bike. Outside you'll find a garden area & picnic benches, (please supervise children). There is some on-site parking and a public car park is just 200m away.
Caban Caron Hostel is situation on the western edge of the vibrant market town of Tregaron, on the slopes of the beautiful Cambrian mountains. It is handy for pubs, cafés & shops. There is easy access to roads & mountains straight out of the door. The area is a haven for walkers & cyclists who want to get away from the crowds. The quiet roads & low population density mean road cyclists can enjoy long stretches without vehicles if they time their rides right. For mountain bikers the hostel is within 40 minutes of Brechfa Forest MTB trails & 30 minutes from Bwlch Nant yr Arian MTB trails & visitors centre.
Dogs are welcome by arrangement for a small adddtional fee. Sheets and pillow cases are provided. BYO sleeping bag or hire.

From the town square head west up a slight hill on the Abergwesyn Mountain Road. At the top of the hill on the left is the hostel. It has a large green roof & double glass doors facing the road. If you’re coming down (over) the Abergwesyn Mountain Road we’re on the right just as you enter the town.Public Transport :
Bus service from & to Aberystwyth & Lampeter. Buses from Carmarthen & further afield will require changes.Walks :
