Overview
By The Way Hostel and Campsite can be found in the Loch Lomond National Park halfway between Arrochar's peaks and the grandeur of Glencoe. The site is aimed primarily at outdoor enthusiasts and with great walking (the West Highland Way passes by the hostel), climbing, and white water rafting. There is lots to be enthusiastic about, Munro-baggers can find 50 Munros within 20 miles. Accommodation options range from camping (with a pot wash area and campers' drying room), basic trekker huts/cabins, as well as glamping huts, hobbit houses and posh pods, (own cooking utensils required) to a purpose built four star hostel with twin and double rooms as well as dormitory accommodation, great self-catering facilities and drying room. For more comfort still there's a three bedroom chalet and a two bedroom chalet. By The Way is in Tyndrum with the village pub, shops, and café nearby. The Glasgow to Fort William road is 250m from the site (far from the madding traffic noise) and both the Glasgow Oban and Glasgow Fort William trains stop in Tyndrum. This accommodation is featured on our map of North East Highlands of Scotland and here is its own website.
