March 6th 2021

Mountain climbers and hill enthusiasts fear not. While the last few months have made things difficult it’s not long now until walking holidays are a reality again. We’d like to help you plan for such an idea in the not so distant future, one where you stay at Blakebeck Farm Camping Barn.

Panoramic views surround the barn, the inside of which is stocked well for a weekend of walking. No need to pack heavy kitchen utensils, there’s access to those. Just enjoying the walks all round the fantastic Lake District. Blencathra is nearby, an excellent starting point. Then perhaps on to Skiddaw. Or beyond… Blakebeck is perfect for a group of strong marchers and looks forward to welcoming you when restrictions allow.

Blakebeck Farm’s website provides an excellent source of wholesome information!

June 1st 2019

Learn how you can contribute to their charity fund raising, and about the artists who record in the fully sound proofed on-site music studios, within the artistically decorated pages of their website.

Furthermore, the website provides information about the farm and the animals who will share it with you when you stay, from donkeys and alpacas to man’s best friends, dogs. Despite bespoke artwork by Jo Watson and all the extra information about the delights of the farm, essential information is of course also provided. You’re reminded of the attractions of Keswick and Ullswater, as well as an interactive map that should provide all you need to know to navigate yourself around our delightful area of Penrith.
