Blackwater Hostel is in the centre of the scenic village of Kinlochleven surrounded by the Mamore mountains midway between Glencoe and Ben Nevis. An ideal stopover for families, cyclists, walkers, climbers and those who are walking the West Highland Way. There are high and low-level, half-hour to full-day walks, all with great views, or if you prefer there is a regular bus service from the village to Glencoe, Ballachulish and Fort William. Water sports are available nearby. Ice Factor, Europe’s first indoor 14 metre ice/climbing wall is only 200 metres away. This is comfortable, high-quality STB 4 star bunkhouse accommodation. All rooms have en-suite facilities, TV and central heating. Facilities include self-catering kitchen, free wi-fi, lounge, dining area and drying room. Glamping pods sleeping up to 4 people are also available and these are located on the adjacent campsite area. The glamping pods and campsite have a drying room, showers & covered area. GR 188 618. OS sheet 41. From A82 Glasgow to Fort William road at Glencoe turn right to Kinlochleven. The hostel is situated near the centre of Kinlochleven. Just past the Co-op a large sign with an arrow will point you to Hostel.
The nearest train station is Fort William and Citylink travels from Glasgow to Glencoe and Fort William. Regular bus service to Kinlochleven all day from Glencoe, Ballachulish and Fort William.
