OverviewBerry Lawn Linhay Bothy is a stone tent perched on top of some of England’s highest cliffs, with amazing views over the Bristol Channel, Watersmeet Valley and Exmoor. Ideal as an overnight stop for walkers on the South West Coast Path the bothy welcomes up to two dogs. There is a sink unit with cold water tap (not drinking water), two double sleeping platforms and a small open courtyard with a composting toilet cubicle. Bring mattresses, sleeping bags, camping cook kit and a torch to enjoy this off-grid, low light pollution location just minutes away from the coast. There is a pub 500m away and the seaside town of Lynmouth is 2 miles away. There is no parking for this bothy. The nearest public car park is over a mile away and the roadside is not suitable for parking. Directions:Two miles east of Lynmouth close to the A39. Best approached on foot from the South West Coast Path near Sillery Sands Beach.
Public Transport:Quantock Heritage tourist service bus 300 from Minehead to Lynmouth passes close to the Bothy on the A39. Runs twice a day Monday to Friday in the summer months only (July to September ). Ask for Contisbury.
