Base Lodge is ideally situated for exploring Exmoor, the Quantocks and the North Devon coast by mountain bike or foot. Excellent off and on road mountain biking for all levels. Guided mountain biking and secure lock up facilities. Exmoor affords excellent scenic moor and coastal views and the 600+ mile long South West Coastal Path starts here in Minehead. Other activities can be arranged including mountain biking, navigational training, climbing, surfing, pony-trekking and natural history walks and talks.

Base Lodge is clean, comfortable and friendly, providing a shared, fully equipped kitchen and dining room. Local pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance.

    Dorms £20 (£25 one night), private single £7.50 supplement, twin/double £40. Sole use of Base Lodge from £200. Family room discount.

  • Booking:

    Booking advisable, bookings taken by phone or email or take a chance and call in. Deposit required for groups or exclusive use.

  • Directions:

    With the sea behind you, drive/walk up The Parade until you reach Park Street, continue straight on until you reach a fork. Take the right fork into The Parks (Baptist Church on your right). Only limited parking is available.

  • Public Transport :

    Coach station 5 min walk. Buses from Taunton, Exeter and Tiverton. Train station: Taunton (26 miles). Steam railway from Taunton to Minehead.
