Barn conversion for four people close to Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales
Perched on a quiet lane at 1,000 feet above sea level, the barn retains its original character while offering modern comforts. Surrounded by open grazing land, it’s a peaceful haven with panoramic views.
Downstairs features a warm and welcoming seating area with board games, a well-equipped kitchen, a shower room, and a wood-burning stove with a baking oven—perfect for cosy evenings. You'll also find two gas hobs, drying facilities, and a spacious entrance area ideal for storing bikes, outdoor gear, and dog beds. Please note that the only electric point is a USB.
Upstairs, an open mezzanine sleeps up to four with a king-size bed, that can be split into two singles, and two pull-out beds. Outside, enjoy private parking, outdoor seating, and a BBQ/fire pit where you can soak in stunning sunset views over Dodd Fell and marvel at the unspoiled dark skies.
Walk directly from the barn to the spectacular Aysgill Falls and explore miles of footpaths right from your door. Learn about life on the farm, and depending on the season, watch activities like lambing or haymaking. Keep an eye out for Swaledale and Herdwick sheep, and Belted Galloway cattle grazing nearby.
Just a mile away lies the charming market town of Hawes—home to independent shops, welcoming pubs and cafés, the Wensleydale Creamery, and the Dales Countryside Museum.
