OverviewThe Arete Outdoor Centre in Snowdonia National Park, offers excellent access to the stunning coastline, meandering rivers, awesome mountains and large lakes of North Wales and Anglesey. With comfortable, affordable, bunkhouse style accommodation and large kitchens for easy catering this is a great base for groups of friends or family. The area is passionate about its language, music and history and is rich with magnificent castles, steam railways, heritage and festivals, so there's plenty to do. The team are happy to help with advice on how best to spend your stay and a range of exciting outdoor activities are available through the centre's well qualified and experienced staff. Catering for over 100 people is available. Several social rooms allow space for down-time, the games room having pool and table tennis tables. Large storage for bikes, kayaks and surfboards and individual cloakrooms for outdoor kit. Car parking available and a large field for activities. Local eating out at Glyntwrog Inn is just 200m away. Directions:Sat navs use LL55 4AP. From A55 at jct 11 follow signs to Llanberis and then Llanrug. Turn left just before the Glyntwrog pub the Centre is 200m on your right. Pickups from Bangor station can be arranged or use taxi or local bus.
Public Transport:Anglesey Airport. Train to Llanfairpwll or Bangor. Buses to Caernafon and local buses from Bangor and Caernarfon,

This accommodation allows dogs by arrangement, is near mountains, is in a National Park, is available only to groups, has a pub within walking distance and is on the Wales Coast Path, the Lon Las Cymru and the Slate Trail.

Snowdonia has the widest choice of outdoor activities available in the UK and the Arete Outdoor Centre can you help achieve them. From rock climbing to bushcraft the qualified instructors at the Arete Centre can help you take part in many land based activities in Snowdonia, including mountain walking, abseiling, sea level traversing and mine and cave exploration. The water based activities available make use of the nearby coast, the inland lakes and the many torrential streams. These include gorge walking and canyoning , coasteering, lake canoeing, sea kayaking, white water kayaking and surfing. These activities are available to groups, from schools or as team building. They are also available to families who would like a challenging holiday in the fresh air.
