Self catering bunkhouse in the North Pennines

The Allendale Bunkhouse opened in 2014 after being completely refurbished and thoroughly modernised. It sits on the market square in Allendale, overlooking the hustle and bustle of a small countryside town and the fells and river beyond. An oasis for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, families, groups of friends and youth & school groups alike.

Allendale is well served with tea rooms, the Forge art gallery & café, a quirky gift shop, pharmacy, Allendale medical practice and the library. Three pubs, all serving food, are a stone's throw away from the bunkhouse.

The C2C cycle trail runs close by, Isaacs Tea Trail starts at the front door and Hadrian's Wall is a 20 minute drive from the Bunkhouse. There is also a fishery and golf course in Allendale. Art, heritage and music events run throughout the year across the valley.

The Allendale Bunkhouse is only available for exclusive hire and can sleep up to 26 people in eight rooms. Room 1: 1 double, Room 2: quad, Room 3: single, Room 4: three singles and bunkbed, Room 5: double, Room 6: twin and bunk in separate room, Room 7: twin and bunk in separate room, Room 8 Bunkbed and two singles.

Catering can be arranged on request. Downstairs is a large open plan area with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area with seating for up to 26 and a lounge area with comfortable sofas to relax. Double French doors lead onto a BBQ, seating and patio area with steps into the large landscaped garden.

The newest addition is a games and cinema room in the attic with comfy sofas and large TV, table tennis, games and reading corner.
