Allendale Bunkhouse, Market Place, Allendale, Hexham, NE47 9BD
The Allendale Bunkhouse opened in October 2014 after being completely refurbished and thoroughly modernised. It sits on the market square in Allendale, overlooking the hustle and bustle of a small countryside town and the fells and river beyond. An oasis for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, families, groups of friends and youth & school groups alike. Allendale is well served with tea rooms, the Forge art gallery & café, a quirky gift shop, pharmacy, Allendale medical practice and the library. Three pubs, all serving food, are a stone’s throw away from the bunkhouse. There is also bike hire (electric, mountain and hybrid bikes) and the C2C cycle trail runs close by. Art, heritage and music events run throughout the year across the valley. Book a bunk, a room, a floor (up to 18) or the whole bunkhouse (up to 38) for your group. Downstairs is a large open plan area with a brand new fully equipped kitchen, dining area with seating for up to 34 and a lounge area with comfortable sofas to relax. Double french doors lead onto a BBQ, seating and patio area with steps into the large landscaped garden. This accommodation is featured on our map of Northumberland and here is its own website.
