[email protected]Hi,
I’m Sean and I am writing to enquire about any vacancies you may have at present.
I feel I am well suited as until very recently I was managing a hostel in Himara, Albania.
During the time I was there from June until August 2020 I was averaging 10 guests a night with up to 25 guests a night over weekends. I brought in twice as much money in this period than the previous six months, so proving that it was still possible to make a profit despite the pandemic. In my spare time I made several board games and painted 27 murals and 50 signs. My responsibilities included:
Taking reservations by internet, phone and in person.
Checking in and checking out guests.
Cash handling.
Laundry.
Breakfast Service.
Maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the entire hostel.
Maintaining garden areas.
Recruitment and training of staff. For the last 4 years I have been working as a volunteer in various locations throughout Europe where I have been working in a variety of gardening and maintenance roles including installing pathways and fences, seeding, mowing, strimming, painting and decorating, painting murals and signs, taping and plastering and repointing brickwork. During this period I have spent 18 months at several guesthouses helping with guests, housekeeping, laundry and general maintenance.
I am now currently volunteering near Brighton where I am gardening and making & reconditioning furniture. I have built a workshop from scratch from reclaimed wood up-cycled from pallets and packing cases comprising of two work benches, 2 tables and a desk.
Ideally I am looking for a long term position with accommodation provided and the possibility of earning a little extra cash.
Please find attached a recent copy of my C.V.

Yours faithfully,
Sean Western
