I would firstly like to introduce myself, my name is Miss Anita Gowing, and I am a 57 year old British woman. I am looking for a new employment opportunity. I have a few years experience in working with accommodation. It may have only housed seasonal staff, but I managed all aspects of the accommodation and assisted the staff. The maximum number of staff that I dealt was around 70. They arrived from multiple countries and most had never been to England. I assisted them in understanding how to the washing machines and tumble dryers, which were all new to them. I also assisted them when they wanted to explore the area, by guiding them to the best places to sight see.

In managing the site, I ensured all accommodation was H&S compliant, and l regularly checked the smoke and co2 alarms were in working order. I also made minor repairs to the caravans when required, and ensured the site was tidy and well maintained. I also had a small vegetable patch for the staff to use whenever they wanted.

I lived onsite, so I was there 24/7 in case there were any issues, that being with the caravans or personal. I supported some when Russia attacked Ukraine, with their worries and any loss. I managed any disagreements, and resolved them in a calm and understanding way.

Previously, I had been involved with cleaning a 5-star bed & breakfast, ensuring the rooms were well prepared and pristine. I prepared and served breakfast to the guests a couple of times too, due to owner having personal issues.

Sadly, due to so many farms struggling to make a profit, my previous position is hard to find. I would still very much like to live and work in a rural area, and stay working with people and accommodation. I feel that working in the youth hostel environment would be a perfect fit for my experience. I am looking for a full-time permanent position. I am very happy to relocate from Kent.
