Come along to this 3 day family festival of British cycling and meet us on the Independent Hostels stand. You can pick up a copy of the Independent Hostel Guide and enter a prize draw to win one of three great holidays. The Eroica Britannia festival takes place in Bakewell in The Peak District National Park on the 19th – 21st June.
We had a great taste of old fashioned British summer at the family cycling festival ‘ Eroica Britannia ‘. in the Peak District. Celebrating the cycling heroes of old, three rides took place across the Peak District countryside. Some riders were dressed for the occasion in tweeds and caps and all were riding pre-1980’s racer bikes.
Three glorious days of live music, camping and entertainment took place, with brass bands and the biggest bike jumble ever seen.
We had an Independent Hostels stand in the Purchasable Exhibition of Treasures.
With bunting and books galore we gave away four fabulous prizes in our free prize draw and 1000 people walked away with copies of the Independent Hostels Guide. The prizes were donated by JOHN HUNT BASE, ELTERWATER HOSTEL and BARRINGTON BUNKHOUSE

Lots of people came to chat and find out more about our Independent Hostels Strava Club. Strava allows you to track all your runs and rides, set personal records and compare your times. It provides a great social network for cyclists. The Independent Hostels club on Strava keeps cyclists in touch with special accommodation offers and at the show we were giving away details of an Independent Hostels club weekend to watch the start of the Tour of Britain.
