Dark nights and falling temperatures don’t stop the fun when visiting Ilderton Dod Barns; it just means you have more time to enjoy the log burning stove in each property, with background central heating and powerful hot showers! It’s also a better time of year to appreciate the true darkness of the International Dark Sky Park, and we provide binoculars, chairs, flasks and blankets for this purpose.
We are open for bookings all year. Our 1.5-mile track is accessible by almost all cars on all but the worst weather days (but we can always make it in a pickup!). Although the days are short, it just means the sunrises can be seen from the eastward-facing front windows without setting an early alarm. Of course, the footpaths, bike tracks, bridleways and beaches are all open, as well as nearby Ingram Cafe – ideal for a half day walk from the accommodation.
