Stay Howgills can sleep a total of 16. 14 in the Barn and 2 in the Bothy. These can be booked together or separately.
The Barn sleeps 14 in 4 rooms. There are 2 double rooms, 1 room with 2 singles & 1 set of bunks and another room with 2 sets of bunks. There's a spacious open planing living area, with a well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas, plenty of dining space and a dedicated workspace. With underfloor heating and a small laundry, attention has been paid to every last detail to ensure guests have everything they need including superfast fibre broadband, a 40" HDTV and toiletries. The barn is reserved for sole use bookings at the weekends (min 2 nights stay), but mid-week you can book by the bed or the room.
The Bothy is a stylish & quirky micro-hostel with a double bed on a mini mezzanine floor. This can be booked separately or with the barn.
Stay Howgills is the perfect base for walkers or cyclists. Wainwright's Pennine Journey literally passes the front door. The popular waterfall beauty spot of Cautley Spout is a lovely walk away, through the ancient and unspoilt woodland of Murthwaite Park while the Pennine Bridleway is close by.
Outside there's a garden, patio, seating, a fire-pit, hammock and BBQ, plus ample parking and a secure bike shed.

Take the A683 from either Sedbergh or Kirkby Stephen (each are about 7 miles away). Turn off where you see a chapel and meander up the farm track for 0.9 miles – sometimes there are a couple of gates to open on the way. The lane is a country farm track and not suitable for very low or precious vehicles!Public Transport :
