Opening 1st August 2025

Formerly known as YHA Eastbourne and now under private ownership, The South Downs Club House offers exceptional value and comfort for solo travellers, couples, families, and groups of up to 22 guests. Situated on the edge of the popular seaside town of Eastbourne, it’s the perfect base for exploring both coast and countryside.

Purpose-built in 2009 on the site of a former golf clubhouse, this stylish, timber-framed retreat nestles among mature trees, blending seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The location offers a unique mix of rural tranquillity and the stunning scenery of the South Downs National Park, while being just minutes from Eastbourne’s vibrant seafront, sandy beaches, and popular attractions.

Recently refurbished and beautifully redecorated, the light-filled and spacious Club House features six en suite rooms, accommodating up to 22 guests in a mix of high-quality bunk and single beds. Guests can make full use of the well-equipped self-catering kitchen and a large communal area designed for relaxed dining and socialising.

Outside, you’ll find a generous seating area and ample private parking. Bridleway access to The South Downs Way runs right past the doorstep—perfect for walkers and cyclists eager to explore this iconic trail.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome for exclusive hire bookings only (£10 per dog, per stay).
