Stay in one of the last remaining Victorian workhouses still open to the public. The well equipped bunkhouse at Y Dolydd Llanfyllin Workhouse offers a unique holiday experience. Set in 6.5 acres of beautifully peaceful grounds, Y Dolydd Workhouse is a registered charity owned and managed by the community to renovate and conserve the largest community funded heritage project in Wales.

Handy for Welshpool, Oswestry & Shrewsbury and close to the Berwyn Mountains National Nature Reserve, it has access to a range of outdoor and adventure activities including scrambling, water sports, walking and cycling. Nearby attractions include Lake Vyrnwy and Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, the tallest single drop waterfall in the UK and Revolution bike park.

The Bunkhouse sleeps 20 (all bunks) and is open all year. There is a cafe on site (closed Tuesdays and Thursdays). Y Dolydd is also a venue and is available for exclusive hire for your wedding, private party, festival, conference or meeting. The History Centre is open daily 10am - 5pm, is free to enter and is well worth a visit to learn more about the building and the people who lived and worked in it.
