Group accommodation nr Bristol, the Mendips & the Severn Estuary
Situated in the heart of rural Somerset 10 miles outside Bristol, Goblin Combe Lodge has stunning views across the Severn Estuary. Set in it's own private 8 acre site, surrounded by 130 acres of woodlands, Goblin Combe Lodge provides affordable and fully accessible self-catering accommodation all year round and is run on a not-for-profit basis.
The lodge is a sustainable building, a teaching resource in itself, and sleeps up to 38 people in bunk bed dormitories. Each of the ten bedrooms sleep between two and six people. The rooms are split over two floors with a lift in between them for anyone unable to use the stairs. There are bathrooms on both floors with five toilets, seven showers and seven wash basins between them. Camping for up to 60 is also available on the eight acre site adjoining the lodge. Plus there are a couple of camp-beds that can be supplied if needed.
Situated in the middle of the North Somerset countryside, just off the A370 between Weston-Super-Mare and Bristol, the secluded site is just 15 minutes from Junction 21 of the M5 and 40 minutes from Junction 19 of the M4.
Groups have full use of 'The Cottage', a grade 2 listed building on site. This has a common room to relax or work in, as well as a fully equipped catering kitchen, complete with fridge, freezer, commercial oven and microwave. With space for 40 people, the cottage also offers the perfect conference space for small and medium sized groups to rent independently from the lodge. There is also access to an outdoor fire pit.
The newly refurbished Yurt is situated just behind the lodge on the 8 acre field and offers a flexible space for up to 20 people. It's the perfect setting for small group meetings, or teaching well-being groups like yoga or mediation.
The timber framed outdoor classroom can accommodate groups from 15-60 people and is a great area for talks, outdoor plays and interactive group activity, as well as being an alternative venue for meetings and conferences.
Additionally there are extensive range of tutor led activities which are available to bring your visit to life.

Goblin Combe Lodge and campsite is set just 10 miles outside of Bristol in 8 acres of its own grounds. The Lodge sleeps up to 38 and the cottage alongside the Lodge provides a lounge, dining and catering facilities. The campsite has space for another 60 people. However there is more than meets the eye when you come and stay here. If you are looking for somewhere for a friends n’family get-together, look no further than Gobln Combe Lodge.
On site is an environmental centre which provides learning and outdoor experiences for schools, clubs, youth and community groups. We also have a woodland park with 130 acres of woodland, including SSSI, Mixed Woodland and a Scheduled Ancient Monument, we offer free open access opportunities for everyone to get out and explore the beautiful North Somerset countryside.
