Situated in the heart of the North Pennines the bunkhouse is Eco Friendly. It is entirely self-sufficient on wind and solar power, with an eco wood burning stove for heating and a borehole water supply.
There are three bunkrooms, 2 sleeping 6 people (one en suite) and a larger room which sleeps 9. The bunks are provided with fresh fitted sheets but bring your own sleeping bag or duvet. There is a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, large lounge area and two shower rooms. There is a large outdoor seating area with BBQ, tables & benches. Pizza and Chinese takeaways can be delivered to the door.
The farm also has a campsite which is ideal for DofE groups and as extra accommodation for large groups.

Coming from Wolsingham once over the metal bridge (Wears Bank) turn right, ignore Sat Nav and drive to the top of hill. Take the next right turn. Look for the metal pole with a bridleway sign and a large white stone saying Carrs Farm then go along the track (along Rushylea Lane). Drive past the 2 cottages and keep driving along the track to to the bunkhouse. Please shut any gates you go through as there may be stock in the field.Public Transport :

Carrs Farm has 2 .6 acres of woodland with benches to sit up to 32 people and two fire pit areas, the woodland is ideal for hammocks and camping. There is a compost toilet at one end of the woodland built inside a little log hut .
