Calvert Devon Lodges – Group Stays in the Heart of Rural Devon
The site offers four lodges that each sleep up to ten guests, as well as a smaller lodge that’s ideal for families and groups of up to six. Beds are pre-made with fresh linen, bathrooms are modern with private showers and WCs in every lodge, and the mix of bunks and singles makes the accommodation flexible for different group needs. The lodges are dog-friendly too, so you can bring your four-legged friend along.
Although there are no self-catering kitchens, guests are welcome to bring their own stove and utensils for a camping-style cooking experience. Many visitors also enjoy dining out at local eateries while exploring Devon. Alternatively, you can book freshly prepared meals in our onsite dining room, including breakfasts, lunches, and hearty evening meals. All dietary needs are catered for, making it easy to relax and enjoy your stay.
The site has covered outdoor seating areas, set in a well-lit, fenced, and nature-filled location just two minutes’ woodland walk from Wistlandpound Reservoir. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi that can be booked very economically for private use.
Nearby, you’ll find Exmoor National Park with its breathtaking landscapes and wildlife, Woolacombe Beach with its award-winning golden sands and world-class surf, the charming coastal villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, the fascinating Arlington Court National Trust estate, and so much more waiting to be discovered.
For groups looking for a more activity-based holiday, our team specialises in inclusive, accessible activities for all. You can try abseiling, climbing, archery, bushcraft, biking, canoeing, rafting, or horse riding at our onsite stables, which are home to a wonderful herd of horses, ponies, and donkeys.
The site is designed for activity holidays, with capacity to accommodate up to 106 people for schools and organised groups. Whether you’re planning a quiet countryside retreat or an action-packed adventure, there’s something here for everyone.
Whatever your plans, we provide great value, comfort, and the perfect setting for unforgettable experiences in North Devon. Get in touch to discuss your stay with our freindly team.
