Located in the heart of Newcastleton, in the Scottish borders, this sparkling new bunkhouse is a perfect venue for friends, families, and groups to spend time enjoying the spectacular Liddesdale countryside. Opened in 2022 and run by the local community as a social enterprise, this bright and airy bunkhouse sleeps up to 14 in 3 en suite rooms. Close to Hathersage and 2 miles west of Stanage Edge, the bunkhouses are on a family-run dairy farm. Popular areas for climbing, walking from meadows to moorland with fantastic views & mountain biking. Each bunkhouse is heated and has a living room, kitchen, bathrooms with toilets, showers and washbasins. Sleep in dorms with bunks or the Hayloft has mattresses on the gallery floor. Camping is available. Secure bike storage and free parking.

There's plenty to do and see in Shropshire - the famous Cardingmill Valley is a lovely walk from the bunkhouse - you can either go the easy route or challenge yourself by a 'straight up and down' route. Once there, you can have tea and cake in the National Trust cafe, maybe a wild swim in the reservoir or take off up the valley to see the Lightspout Waterfall. Soon the hill sheep will start lambing and it's lovely to watch the newborns chasing each other around the hills. If you are lucky, you may see some of the herd of wild horses with foals. Spoil yourself and come and join us - we don't mind sharing!
