A brand new hostel – built for hostellers by hostellers

October 27th 2022

Our accommodation has been designed and built with years of previous hostelling experience. We have built a unique accommodation experience in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors that is kitted out for Cyclists and other outdoor people.

There are 18 showers on site, each room has it’s own en-suite and we never mix groups of people. You will never be sharing a room with a stranger. We have a bike shop and workshop on site that is open 6 days a week (closed Mondays, apart from bank holidays). We are also literally in the middle of the moors and have some of the darkest skies at night with very little light pollution, star gazing is a must.  Even people who don’t normally star gaze are soon hooked on star-gazing.  Our breakfasts have a very good reputation and  are getting more media interest all the time, when in Fryup…..would seem rude not to eat a “Fryup” We have a “Little Fryup” which is our neighbouring valley. The “Great Fryup” which is the valley we are situated in and then we have the “Fat Betty” which is named after an ancient stone landmark on the legendary Wainrights Coast to Coast.
