Located on the northern shore of Morecambe Bay at Beck Head, Witherslack lies between Grange over Sands and Levens in the beautiful Whitbarrow Nature Reserve with plenty of outside space.

Just 500m from Sustrans routes 700 the Morecambe 'Bay Cycle Way' and 70 Walney to Wear W2W, the Lakes & Dales Loop. Woodland footpaths on the doorstep and very close to the walking routes of Wainwright's Remote Lakeland, Furness Way and Westmorland Heritage Walk.

    Sat Nav LA11 6SH. Turn off the A590 at signpost ‘Beck Head, Mill Side’. Continue straight on, over the cattle grid and straight ahead into Mill Side. First junction right, follow signs to ‘Beck Head’, keep left at fork signposted as dead end. 500m on the left hand side just after the small bridge, at Beck Head Farm.
  • Public Transport :

    Sustainable transport encouraged so pick ups from the Mill Side bus stop on the A590 are available. The X6 bus service is every hour from Kendal or Grange Over Sands. By rail to Grange over Sands, Northern Railways station (5 miles). Virgin Rail mainline is Oxenholme The Lake District at Kendal (10 miles). There are always plenty of taxis.

14 beds in 4 bedrooms, all en suite with full kitchen facilities. Plenty of parking and electric car hook up. Single nights available.

2023 Prices.  Weekends are sole use only from only £295 per night. Cyclist’s special price £25 per night if arriving by bike.

Sleeping up to 14 people, 4 ensuite bedrooms, bedding and linen included, kitchen, lounge/diner, drying room and laundry, secure bike store, bike wash and workshop. Cyclists dream! Perfect location to access central Lakes and Morecambe Bay and far enough away from the madding crowds for peaceful relaxation. Particularly good for cyclist (road or MTB) and low level walking groups.
Dogs accepted (2 max), 1.5 miles to the pub, set in a nature reserve.
