Bunkhouse on the edge of Snowdonia.

Tyddyn Bychan is an 18th century traditional Welsh farmhouse and barns set in private grounds and surrounded on all sides by farmland. Situated in an excellent central location, for mountain biking, road cycling, canoeing, walking, climbing, fishing and numerous watersports including whitewater rafting. The main bunkhouse sleeps 18 in two en suite rooms. All the bunks are handmade and of a very high standard. The smaller bunkhouse sleeps 9 in two en suite rooms and has its own kitchen, conservatory and lounge. All bedding is included. Delicious homemade food is available if booked in advance. The bunkhouses are ideal for self-catering with very well equipped kitchen/dining rooms. There is a good parking area well away from the road. Excellent drying room. There is also a private Shepherd's Hut with a double bed and facilities.

    GR 931 504. Turn off A5 at Cerrigydrudion. Take B4501 out of village for Llyn Brenig, take the turning on left for Cefn Brith. After about 2 miles you will see a phone box on left, chapel on right and the road widens for a layby. The gate for Tyddyn is on the left directly opposite junction on the right.

    Nearest train station is at Betws-y-Coed. Very difficult to get here by public transport.

Tyddyn Bychan is a stunning converted 18th century traditional Welsh farmhouse that sleeps up to 27 people. Located on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, the location is the perfect base to try out water sports in the area such as canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting. 

It is a 15 minute drive from Alwen Reservoir and 13 minutes to Llyn Brenig reservoir.

The River Dee and the Tryweryn Whitewater centre Bala are fantastic spots for water sports and, depending on the rainfall, local rivers are the perfect location for kayaking and canoeing too!

Had enough of watersports? Why not spend the day on your bike instead? Tyddyn Bychan is centrally situated for numerous mountain bike trails.

Not to mention, after a hard day of your chosen water sports (or mountain biking!) activitiy, Tyddyn Bychan has a wonderful drying room, showers and lounge.
